I went to the Vacationland where the churches are domed, and the statues are perfect. There was not a shortage of walled cities overlooking rolling hills. These were some of the most beautiful places I've ever set my eyes on, and I am already aching to go back.
As soon as I returned, I spent a week at a fantastic classroom management workshop. It felt like Vacationland for teachers, and it was fabulous.
Then, I got the chance to spend a week in the ACTUAL Vacationland, where you spend all day swimming and where boyfriends set the table. (What? Candles?!)
Obviously, when you're at Vacationland, you have to have lobster. And when we have lobsters, we do it right. Paired with a big bowl of steamers, and a small bowl of melted butter. This is what I look forward to throughout the entire school-year.
Steamers and Lobsters. It's how to do summer right.
Hi Nancy! Someone nominated me for this award called the Liebster Blog award, and I'm passing it on to you! The info is on my most recent post. Love all the yummy dishes you blog about! Congrats :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you! Thanks!
DeleteHi! I just found your blog! I have to confess I've never had lobster before but I'm totally dying to!
ReplyDeleteI just browsed through your blog and your croque monsieur made me drool a little bit. Thanks :)
I never had lobster until I was at least 20. It's a real treat. If you're a shrimp/seafood fan, I highly recommend.
DeleteOh, and the croque monsieur? Don't get me started. Must do.
Hi Nancy! Your blog is so beautiful! You make me want to pack up and head to Maine, too. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got a chance to head up there!
DeleteBoyfriend set the table? and candles? Must be because of all the amazing food he gets to eat! :)
